CRCA components are parts made from cold-rolled close-annealed (CRCA) steel — a smooth, dimensionally-stable, low-carbon steel widely used in electric-motor manufacturing. In a motor, the most important CRCA components are the stampings and laminations that form the core.
Why CRCA for motor components
CRCA offers a clean surface finish, tight thickness tolerance and good magnetic permeability. That makes it ideal for laminations, where uniformity keeps iron losses low, and for other pressed parts that need accuracy and a good finish.
CRCA components we manufacture
- CRCA electrical stampings (110 DIA)
- CRCA motor stampings (Type 200)
- E-frame and H-frame laminations
- BLDC stator/rotor cores

CRCA Components for Electric Motors — stampings, laminations and more
CRCA — Cold Rolled Close Annealed steel — is a low-carbon steel with an excellent surface finish, good flatness and tight thickness control. Those properties make it a practical, cost-effective choice for many electric-motor components: laminations for moderate-duty motors, end frames, brackets, clamps and pressed parts. At Shree Balaji Electrical & Stamping we press CRCA components to close tolerances for motor and pump manufacturers.
CRCA at a glance
| Property | CRCA |

CRCA vs silicon steel — when to use which
Use CRCA where cost matters and the magnetic duty is moderate — fan motors, small pumps, appliance motors — or for structural parts that don't carry the main magnetic flux. Use CRNGO/CRGO silicon steel where efficiency is critical, such as continuously running industrial motors and transformers, because it has much lower core loss. Many motors combine both: silicon-steel laminations for the core, CRCA for frames and brackets. We help you make the right call for each part.
Finishing and quality
CRCA's clean surface takes coatings, plating and paint well, so components resist corrosion in service. Every part is checked for burr, flatness and dimension. Share your drawing and we'll advise on material grade, thickness and finish.
